SCRiBE Terms of Use

Effective Date: July 30, 2026

Last Updated: July 30, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of SCRiBE, an EMS education documentation platform operated by Michigan Emergency Training Institute ("METI," "we," "our," or "us").

By creating an account or using SCRiBE, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

2. What SCRiBE is

SCRiBE is intended for educational documentation and program administration by EMS schools, instructors, students, and clinical sites. It is not an electronic patient care reporting system for EMS agencies and is not an official patient medical record.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials confidential. Schools are responsible for the instructors, students, and clinical partners they invite. You may not share logins or access another person's records without authorization from that person's program.

4. Acceptable use

Use SCRiBE only for legitimate EMS education activities. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, attempt to disrupt the service, or use the platform to collect patient-identifying information that is not required for student education.

5. Educational records

Records in SCRiBE are educational records concerning a student's participation and performance. The educational institution that enrolls the student remains responsible for academic decisions, clinical requirements, and how it uses exported reports.

6. Availability

We work to keep SCRiBE available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change as the product develops.
